Dr. Ahluwalia

A Bay Area native and Stanford trained physician, Dr. Ahluwalia's (Dr. A) integrative approach blends technicality with an eye to artistry. Using the latest techniques in non-surgical treatments, he strives for excellence in patient safety and outcomes.

Dr. Ahluwalia has lived and studied both nationally and internationally. These diverse experiences have given him a broad view on human conditions and allow him to connect on an elemental level to his patients. He believes that relationships formed between the doctor and patient are intimates and vital, and are to be protected.

Following undergraduate studies at The John Hopkins University, Dr. Ahluwalia received his doctor of medicine from The George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Ahluwalia studied and trained at Stanford University's School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology where he completed his residency, pain management fellowship, and continues to be on faculty and involved in educational activities.

His interests are diverse and many: he enjoys adventure traveling, triathlon training, swimming, cycling, running, surfing skiing, vinyasa flow yoga and exploring the Bay Area. His medical volunteer activities include working in India, Tanzania, Guatemala, and at The Washington Free clinic in Washington DC. He is a member of the San Francisco Asian Art Museum and the Symphonic Society of the San Francisco Symphony. An avid environmentalist, Dr. Ahluwalia is developing strategies for medical clinics and operating rooms to lessen their environmental impact.
